Artist's comment: My chats with a friend convinced me to make Ildria/Nerei a canon pairing in Merdack, so here's how the two meet. Ildria ends up fighting in a war along with her siblings, but she isn't much of a fighter. She's getting beat up pretty badly and the situation seems hopeless, when a mysterious figure leaps between Ildria and her assailant. It's Nerei! And she's hot! Anyway, I really struggled with the composition here, but I think it's pretty nice. Also please notice the effort I put into the background.
